Myofascial massage is a deep-tissue manipulation that realigns muscles to their optimal function. This medically-based soft tissue mobilization was popularized by President Kennedy's physicians, Drs.Janet Travell and David Simon in the 1950s.

Our physical bodies may convey the story of our mental and emotional relationship to ourselves and our environment. Fascia is connective tissue that sculpts our posture and affects our physical mobilization as well as our emotional and mental orientation. With gentle specific controlled compression, ischemia (muscle and nerve pain) may be relieved from muscles thus optimizing their function.

Loose fitting clothes are recommended.
Generally no oils or lotions are used.
